Heather will lead a True Voice Communion: If you have a voice you have a song. Yes so many carry wounds or shame which block its flow. Heather will lead us through an embodied vocal exploration to commune with the magic of the voice in an encouraging, playful, enlivening and alchemical space. The voice is a powerful multidimensional channel with the capacity to heal, transform, catalyze, and liberate ourselves and each other. We each were given this sacred instrument, and our world needs our voices to balance the destructive voices of power today. A singer and musician in her own right, Heather has been on the path of healing & cultivating her true voice for over twenty years.
Night of Folk Song: Heather will also bring us a night of bardic song and story accompanied by the mountain dulcimer and piano to journey together in ancient, but ever-remade, living rivers of lineage and folk wisdom. You are invited to relax and ride down the river of sound, with opportunities to add your voice to our collective prayers and celebration.
True Voice Communion at WOW will explore the relationship between our voice and our feminine bodies (all bodies welcome), specifically our wombs & low belly cauldrons of creativity (literally & figuratively), and our sacral centers of roots, portals of life, pleasure, intuition, and wisdom. Women in particular often carry a collective wounding with the voice within the framework of patriarchal conditioning and societal power dynamics that often robs us of our full liberatory power. This is a space to lovingly feel, heal and transmute emotions as we open and attune the channel of voice, and feel the states of bliss that release from harmonizing our songs in community!
All levels of experience are welcomed, you are invited to come with a beginner’s mind as we get back to the source of our voices, and attune and open these magical, magnificent channels of sound and vibration in loving, collective, feminine space.
