Our evening together in Portland begins at 6:30. Heather will lead us in an immersive exploration of wildness—half or whole—through voice, body, song, story, and plant teachings. Heather will call forth our primal intelligence through bardic songs, drawn from the timeless river of living folk tradition, accompanied by the sounds of the mountain dulcimer.
In the spirit of communal sharing, this event is a potluck. Please arrive early and bring something if inspired. If you are interested in attending (space is limited), please register. The event location will be shared via email when you register.

What happens when we open our awareness and give voice to our wombs? What does she have to say to us? What wisdom of our creatrix awaits to be expressed?
An intimate workshop to explore the relationship between our voice and our vulvic portals. For those of us with bodies with wombs, we carry center generating creativity in many forms, though often this powerful center of our bodies is not given the proper care and awareness.
This workshop is centered around the relationship between our voice and our womb, and exploring the voice of our womb. We will also explore our voice and our pussy vulva yoni, these centers of our body with such multilayered emotion and dimension. This is an intentional space to explore these power centers of our body, so often ignored, belittled or avoided, lacking much conscious awareness and respect.

Doe Bay AIR: Artist in Residency: The Descent of Inanna Ritual Mythtelling
Description: THE DESCENT OF INANNA • A Ritual Mythtelling by Heather Wolf with live musical soundscapes by @joceanhandpanmusic.
At the threshold of All Hallow’s time, when the realms of spirit & ancestor draw nearer and the earth calls back life into her deep belly, we will journey into one of our oldest mythologies, the initiation myth of the Sumerian Goddess Inanna. Inanna, Queen of Heaven and Earth, descends to the Underworld to meet her twin sister Ereshkigal, Queen of the Underworld as a coming of age rite. This myth was written on cuneiform clay tablets dating back 4,000 years, and holds deep wisdom teachings and visions for our own processes of initiation. These stories made over time by innumerable beings, human and more-than-human, are like the stories our mother told us before we could remember. They speak to an ancient and instinctual knowing in our being.
Heather will give a ritual telling of the Descent of Inanna with live musical soundscapes by Jocéan, followed by a feeding back of the story, in the tradition passed on to her by mythologist and storyteller Daniel Deardorff.
Please bring layers of warmth and comfort. If the skies are clear, we will sit around the fire, otherwise we will be in the Yoga Studio.

Heather will serenade us with folk songs old and new, with Mountain Dulcimer and guitar. Come sit in the beautiful spring garden, lay a blanket, sip on a warm elixir, and gaze at the bees, flowers, and gently passing clouds… be nourished by the healing springs, the wisdom of place, and songs that carry deep earth medicine and memory.

Folk Herbalist, Brewess and True Voice Doula from the Salish Sea, Heather will lead us by way of the voice into our inner garden, and beyond, into the living herb garden. We will be guided through embodied vocal play and song, deepening our direct relationship with healing herbs of the garden. We will share an herbal tea ceremony, and craft song as offerings for our plant spirit kin.
This will be a time for harmonizing with the more than human world, calming our nervous system, grounding with plant allies, and awakening our voices in the sweetness of community both familiar and new.
